The Creative approach

The Video

Before we jump into how we went Viral, here’s the actual video we posted on the Instagram and Tik Tok. My main approach for the project was to make it seem like an advert.

Alongside the flavours/bottles I had the actually food placed next to it. By adding a flash of motion I had to the food float alongside the bottles to give it a fun creative touch. All to highlight how random these flavours are.

The Flavours

Our crazy approach was to see what was trending in the food category on Tik Tok. After a little research we worked as a team to decide what random and odd flavours we could come up with. We moved forward with 1. Fried Chicken 2. Wasabi 3. Taco and 4. Ramen. We understood the shock value of seeing these flavours in an advert, especially as an Ice Tea product.

 
 

Support Key visuals

Our video was the main focus but to really sell the idea of this range we created some supporting Key visuals, both for the bottle and Can renders. Alongside the launch of the video we used these key visuals as instagram story content and sponsored the post.

 
 
 

The supporting cast

To support the weird flavours we add the actual food placed next to it. I did this with the intention to highlight each new fake flavour. It add to the imagination. Capturing the single moment of every piece of food and crumb added to the excitement of each flavour. Having them float and have moment added to the idea of the video (April fools) seem like an official advert.

Putting things into motion

Starting with an impact. We opened with a close up on the Lipton Ice Tea label and logo, with the intention to grab the viewers attention from second zero!
